The pelangi frog guiro is similar to our croaking frog guiro but this one is super bright and colourful. Made from solid acacia wood, carved and painted in hues of red, yellow, green, blue and purple. The rainbow guiro is from Northern Thailand. To play it you will need to run the stick provided along the ridges on its back from rear to front to make it croak or you can strike it on the head to produce a tone block sound. The method of painting produces a wonderful 'cracked' effect on the instrument which is very aesthetically pleasing.
