The Haryana Recycled Bike Bookends are made from recycled bike parts that have been welded together to create bookends in a bicycle design. These chunky Bike bookends have been made with old bike parts that would have otherwise gone into landfill. Parts used to make them include bike chains, cogs, and other metal parts that have been discarded from bike repair shops. The bike bookends have been constructed from recycled iron sheets and have been welded together by hand. After that they are carefully cleaned, polished and lacquered to give a matt/satin finish in appropriate areas. Finally a clear varnish then creates the antique copper-effect finish. These bike bookends have been handmade by skilled artisans working for an inspirational Fair Trade organisation in Moradabad, Northern India. All of their metal products are handmade by WFTO accredited producers in India.
Due to the handmade nature of these products designs may slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard. They are made entirely by hand using traditional skills handed down from generation to generation.
