The Hosho Maraca shaker is an unusual musical instrument that comes from the region of Zimbabwe. It is hand crafted from three asalato cas cas kashaka nut seed pods attached to a stick. The stick is slightly curved and rustic featuring a slightly burnt tribal design, its not perfect but gets the job done. Hosho shakers smell sweet and aromatic with scents similar to spices like nutmeg. The Hosho Maraca shaker is simple with a high frequency sound making it great for the passionate musician, a music teacher or for someone who enjoys the expressive art of music. The asalato seed is a type of hollow gourd that is grown on the ocoba tree in west Africa.
