How to Play the Pocket Kalimba (Tutorial)

The pocket kalimba is made from solid wood and has a clear finish, this 8 note mini kalimba is as portable as it gets! Small as it may seem, this Chisai Pocket Kalimba functions as great as any other. With notes in the kalimba and a chain to hold it, playing your favourite songs is now as easy as it is convenient.

To learn how to play the pocket kalimba, you will need to find a comfortable position to hold it. The instrument is played by plucking the thumbs on the notes. This small instrument has only 8 notes which means that it easier to learn in comparison to the full length instrument. Each tine is marked with either a number ranging from 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 or the corresponding letter note: C,D,E,F,G,A,B.

To play specific songs you will need to either learn how to read sheet music and get yourself a song book or you can make use of our learning resources.
